Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-24
figcraft.org is an independent community host for the open source FigCraft editor. This page explains, in plain terms, what data this website handles. We do not run user accounts and we do not receive the designs you create.
What stays on your device
The editor on /editor/ runs locally in your browser using WebAssembly. The document you are working on stays in your browser's memory on your device. It is not uploaded to us, because this site has no project storage and no accounts.
The upstream web build does not yet wire up native file dialogs. Treat an open tab as temporary work, not as storage. See the browser vs desktop guide before you rely on it for anything important.
Analytics we run
To understand how the site is used, we run two analytics services:
- Plausible (self-hosted). Cookieless. It counts visits in aggregate and is not designed to identify or track individuals across sites or devices.
- Google Analytics 4. It can set cookies, and Google processes data under its own policies. You can block it with your browser's cookie settings or Google's opt-out browser add-on without losing site functionality.
Hosting and server logs
The site is served through Cloudflare. Standard request logs may be kept for security and abuse prevention. We do not use them to build visitor profiles.
Third-party software
The editor is the upstream FigCraft open source build (MIT / Apache-2.0). This policy covers figcraft.org only, not the upstream project or any of its own services.
Your choices
- Block cookies in your browser; the editor works without them.
- Plausible collects no cookies by design.
- For Google Analytics, use your browser settings or Google's opt-out add-on.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service changes; the date above reflects the current version. figcraft.org runs without accounts or mailboxes. For questions, open an issue on the upstream project on GitHub.
